Sculpture – Dialogue At The Threshold

These sculptures are made of opaque glass cast with gold, they are handmade and unique, with a strong presence which belies their size!

The viewer is drawn into my unique glass dense boxes by the allure of 23.5ct gold. Some are architectural, others are visually soft, encased by fabric; either by wrapping fabric around ready made boxes or the fabric itself forms the box.

Access may be denied by the use of grids.

A form encloses an inner space and is the boundary to the ourside. Where there is an opening this links the two.

There is a fluidity between the inside and the outside. The interplay between the interior and the exterior articulates a dialogue at the threshold.

Pieces are a combination of lost wax and open cast glass, fired with 23.5ct gold or silver.
