Product Details
This one off art glass sculpture is a new addition to my handmade rocky sculptures series. The composition is new and I’ve also used a new technique to add more detail to the surface. Meadow and sea grasses are engraved onto the surface of the glass on both sides creating another visual layer.
First I construct it by hand using chunks of American Bullseye Glass to create natural forms. Then I fire it in the kiln over several days.
It’s a 3 dimensional piece in a clear, bronze grey and pink glass glass with black etching in soft and harmonious colours.
Each composition is different. It’s only when I take it out of the kiln after a 6 day firing that I can see the result and find out if I’ve captured the essence of my inspiration!
My one off art glass sculptures explore the beauty of stone bridges, harbour walls, dry stone walls and rocky outcrops.
