Rocky outcrop in aquamarine fired with 23.5ct gold – SOLD
This is a 3 dimensional free standing sculpture in blue glass fired with 23.5ct gold.
Each composition is different, it’s only when it’s taken out of the kiln after a 6 day firing that I can see the result and tell if I’ve captured the essence of my inspiration.
This piece is inspired by the form of a rocky outcrop with golden lichen growing over it.

My art glass sculptures are constructed by hand using chunks of American Bullseye Glass to create natural forms.
This is a 3 dimensional free standing piece in aquamarine glass fired with 23.5ct gold.
Each composition is different, it’s only when it’s taken out of the kiln after a 6 day firing that I can see the result and tell if I've captured the essence of my inspiration.
This piece is inspired by the form of a rocky outcrop with golden lichen growing over it.
These pieces explore the beauty of stone bridges, harbour walls, dry stone walling and rocky outcrops.
The compositions are evocative of the landscape and coastline and suggest rocks and stones placed harmoniously together contrasting defined edges with the softness of adjacent vegetation.
The blocks of colour echo the surrounding landscape, water and sky. They have a sense of place and atmosphere.
