Waterfall cascade in sunlight

Waterfall in sunlight is a handmade art glass sculpture in greens, blues and ambers with flashes of orange sunlight. I’m inspired by the movement of water downwards over rocks.
My rocky sculptures are constructed by hand using chunks of American Bullseye Glass to create natural forms. They are free standing.
Each composition is different, it’s only when I take it out of the kiln after a 6 day firing that I will see if I’ve captured the essence of my inspiration.
These pieces explore the beauty of stone bridges, harbour walls, waterfalls and rocky outcrops from various British locations such as the Isle of Skye, Pembrokeshire and the Isles of Scilly.
The compositions are evocative of the landscape and suggest rocks and stones placed harmoniously together contrasting defined edges with the softness of adjacent vegetation.
The blocks of colour echo the surrounding landscape, water and sky. They have a sense of place and atmosphere.
